SIRS regularly facilitates executive programs dealing with various aspects of retail business management as part of SIRS’ larger mandate to professionalize the retail practitioners in Singapore.

The programs focus on issues important to senior and mid-level management in the retail industry. They provide participants with current and latest in business models, concepts and practices, presented in an interactive format, by renowned local or international speakers. The programs aim to bring world class best practices to the participants.

Participants are provided with opportunities to meet with counterparts from the industry to share various developmental issues. The programs provide an excellent platform for networking and cross learning with participants from various retail sub-sectors.

Inbound Executive Program

SIRS regularly invites distinguished business leaders or specific subject matter experts from overseas to speak in a 2-3 days workshop style programs. Such sessions provide in-depth knowledge and allow for intensive brainstorming and discussion to take place within a small group setting of about 20 participants.

Outbound Executive Program

SIRS has extensive overseas contacts on which we leverage to bring the best of industry exposure to our local retailers. Organised jointly with overseas partners, SIRS designs and develops the programs with central themes that are of interest and benefit to local participants and leads the retail professionals on the overseas trips.  The program in the destination country usually consists of 2 days executive program, usually in a intensive workshop style session followed by 2-3 days of retail study visits to relevant retail sites and business locations for experiential learning.

Train-the-Trainer Program

SIRS has developed a unique 5-day full time Train-The-Trainer Program (TTP) that is designed to train trainers of companies or in-house trainers of organisations involved in retail related courses development and delivery. This program entails high level of customisation as every organisation’s training needs are different.

Executive Development Programs

SIRS is launching a series of compact programs to address the specific needs of retailers and the public. Programs are designed to run in an intensive 1-2 day session and will cover topics of concern and interest to the target audience. Subjects will range from soft skills to critical problem solving and analytical skills, aimed at supplementing participants with extra competency and all round knowledge and skills.
