Merchandise performance analysis (sf - manager)

Your Retail store is the hub of the Customer Experience and your Visual Merchandising is a key element in attracting the attention of your store visitors with the goal of converting them into Customers. Understanding the performance of your merchandise is hence a critical factor to your business success, and this Merchandise Performance Analysis course aims to provide you with the insights for enhancing your merchandise selections and displays that will optimise returns and profits. 

Learners will understand how to assess merchandise trends that allows them to fast on the opportunities that will reap the most optimal returns. You will learn methods of calculating selling space contributions, assessment of the ideal pricing mark-ups and more, all of which aim to drive healthy profit margins whilst enhancing sales conversion volumes through implementing a strategy of visual appeal with optimal price levels alongside retail trends, hence meeting customer satisfaction and improved business ROI.

Course Topics

- Understand Merchandise strategies and plans and features of an effective merchandising plan
- Recognise trends on products and merchandise consumption
- Understand mark ups, margins and retail price computations and methods to calculate sales contributions
- Understand sales tracking systems and technologies
- Utilise statistical modelling and data-mining techniques
- Calculate or estimate overall contributions according to store merchandising plans and category marketing plans
- Utilise framework for merchandise performance analysis
- Manage product range assessment checks against budgets and targets
- Evaluate opportunities to adjust merchandise ranges to
