On 11 Oct 2023, PCEO represented NYP-SIRS to sign a Memorandum-of-Understanding with Amazon Global Selling (AGS) at the Marina Bay Sands’ <eCommerce Expo Asia> where Amazon Global Selling Summit was held to a capacity crowd of more than 1600 in-person attendees. The partnership between NYP-SIRS and AGS encompassed three pillars:
(1) AGS and NYP-SIRS to jointly coordinate and organize training workshops and courses to equip several hundred Singapore retailers, entrepreneurs and SMEs each year with knowledge and skillsets to jumpstart the building and growing of their CBEC (Cross Border E-commerce) businesses on Amazon.com, through a variety of learning channels and formats;
(2) AGS and NYP-SIRS to collaborate in supplementary activities which include overseas product sourcing and study mission trips, workshops to train businesses on product development, and outreach and knowledge sessions to better enable aspiring CBEC sellers, including those on Amazon.com; and
(3) AGS and NYP-SIRS commit to explore other joint innovations to spur retail such as the feasibility of setting up a hub for future retail to encourage and support more adoption of advanced cross-border e-commerce amongst our retailers and entrepreneurs. We envision an end-to-end one-stop solution with training, learning trips, mentorship, product innovation, creative content development and more.
SIRS exhibited at the event to promote our Amazon Cross Border workshop and received good response and interest.
