To attract potential candidates, Dairy Farm Singapore partnered SIRS in the recent recruitment drives with strong value-proposition and career pathways for the candidates. The drives that took place from February to April 2014 drew enthusiastic response for the chance to join Dairy Farm Singapore under its Operations Management Trainee Programme. Successful candidates were offered trainee positions to work in either the 7-Eleven or the Giant businesses, while being sponsored to pursue full certifications under the Workforce Skills Qualifications framework.
The recruitment drives clearly articulated Dairy Farm Singapore’s progression of career pathway, attractive progressive pay schemes and fully sponsored 12-month retail training at SIRS. Dairy Farm adopted a training room in SIRS which is fully simulated with gondolas and merchandise from each of its 4 business banners – Cold Storage, Giant, 7-Eleven and Guardian Health & Beauty - to provide a realistic environment to facilitate effective training and skills application. The newly recruited staff were sponsored for a through-train programme comprising the Certificate in Retail Operations (CRO), Advanced Certificate in Retail Supervision (ACRS) and Diploma in Retail Management (DRM).
